All printers at the University of Bath have been updated to a new print system which will enable printing from all types of devices; PCs, laptops, Macs, phones and tablets.

Most of the printers have not changed, but the software on them is new.

What you need to do

Your PC or device will need new the print queues added in order to print.

  • For University-managed desktop PCs, the new print queues will automatically be added for you.
  • For University-managed Windows laptops, you will need to install “University Print Service (PaperCut)” from ‘Company Portal’. (To find Company Portal on your computer, first select the Start menu in the lower left of your screen. From here, begin typing the words “Company Portal” – it should search for Company Portal on your PC and make the application visible for you to select.)
  • For University-managed Macs, you will need to install “University Print Service (PaperCut)” from ‘Self Service’. (To open Self Service on your Mac, click the University of Bath logo, which should be on the left-hand side of your dock. Alternatively, press Cmd + Space and start to type “Self Service”.)
  • If your device is not managed by the University, you can download and install the new “PaperCut Print Deploy” software from go.bath.ac.uk/print-client
