The Innovation in Learning & Teaching Award is made in recognition of a significant contribution to innovation in curriculum design, content or delivery.
Dr Steve Cayzer was commended by the Committee for his passion for learning and teaching, and his commitment to innovative approaches in the delivery of teaching, both of which are clearly reflected in excellent student feedback.
in particular, recent initiatives adopted by Dr Cayzer include the design of an Engineering Management Practicum to help students with key soft skills, a project that involves our alumni in mentoring students, and the introduction of Team Based Learning in two units, demonstrating that team work can lead to more effective learning than working alone.
