A wide-ranging audience came together on 15 June at The Edge building on the University’s Claverton Down campus. The public information event offered the chance to hear about the University’s strategy and partnership working with other organisations in the region and to pose questions to the panel.

Attendees included residents in Bath and the surrounding area, local charity and business representatives, local councillors, and alumni living locally, amongst others.

Prior to the event there was the opportunity to network, and view research displays including Images of Research and Vertically Integrated Projects. Guests also enjoyed a special late opening of the ‘Holburne Opens’ exhibition in the Andrew Brownsword gallery, to the backdrop of an Arts Scholar performing on the piano.

The main event, facilitated by Greg Ingham from local publishing and events company Media Clash, saw presentations and Q&A with the panellists: Pamela Chesters CBE, Chair of Council; Professor Ian White, Vice-Chancellor; Professor Phil Allmendinger, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and The SU (Students’ Union) President Annie Willingham.

The engaging session ran right up to time with a range of questions on topics from transport to careers advice. Thank you to everyone who attended on the evening and who provided feedback through our online survey after the event.back through our online survey after the event.
