The Men’s Network are organising a drop-in event on Thursday 13 June between 10:00 and 12:30 in the Polden common room on the western side of campus.
Male staff are invited to have a free MOT to check blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and more.
Maintaining good health is crucial for leading a fulfilling life, and prevention is better than cure so we encourage you to drop by if you can.
Proactive health management is particularly important for men, as they are more likely to overlook routine health screenings until an issue arises. Regular health screenings play a pivotal role in preventing and detecting potential health concerns early on, enabling timely interventions and promoting overall wellbeing.
Regular health screenings empower men to detect health risks at an early stage. Common screenings, such as blood pressure checks, cholesterol tests, and diabetes screenings, can identify warning signs before they develop into severe health complications. Proactive management of these factors can significantly reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other life-threatening conditions.
Drop in any time between 10.00 and 12.30 for your free check. There will also be refreshments available.
