The Centre for the Analysis of Motion, Entertainment Research and Applications (CAMERA) at the University of Bath, provides Forceteck with access to facilities for collecting motion and force data on multiple athletes. CAMERA is one of eight Core Research Facilities within Bath's Research Infrastructure and Facilities services unit.
On Wednesday, 20 November, Forceteck’s team collected a range of critical data to advance technological developments in sports science. By gathering marker-based and markerless motion data, alongside force data, the team worked towards building a unique database that will provide valuable insights for sports professionals.
This session also offered the team an opportunity to strengthen team dynamics to solidify Forceteck’s vision for the future.
The University of Bath continues to foster innovative research through collaboration and support of spinouts like Forceteck, which are set to add significant value to the health and sports sectors.
Dr Dario Cazzola, CEO and Co-Founder of Forceteck, and Associate Professor in the Department of Health at the University of Bath, says:
It has been incredible for the Forceteck team to collect such unique dataset and make progress in shaping the future of sports technology. I’m excited to see what’s to come
Rebekah Hole, CAMERA Centre Manager and Core Research Facility Lead, says:
It’s been a pleasure supporting Forceteck’s ground breaking work. Collaborating with such an innovative team to advance sports technology is exactly what CAMERA was designed for.
