The Centre for Learning & Teaching is pleased to release a new Moodle plugin designed to facilitate the automatic transfer of assignment grades from Moodle into SAMIS.

Professor Peter Lambert, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching), said: "I am pleased to announce the launch of the new grade transfer plugin. This is a wonderful example of the CLT and Computing Services responding to academic staff feedback, and will save academic staff time, while ensuring the quality of our data in SAMIS."

CLT and Computing Services have worked closely with academic and professional service staff from across the institution to ensure that the plugin is both easy to use and robust. Following a successful pilot, we are pleased to announce that the first version of the plugin is now available to Unit Convenors. The CLT is also working closely with Directors of Administration and Programme Administrators to ensure the smooth rollout of the tool, and to develop clear Faculty-specific guidance for Unit Convenors.

A range of support materials have been produced to support the introduction of the plugin. Visit the Learning & Teaching Hub to find out more.

Professor Andrew Heath, Academic Director for the Centre for Learning & Teaching, said: "Our team within the CLT is continually developing Moodle, our Virtual Learning Environment, to meet student and staff needs. This is a great development, and we look forward to receiving your feedback as we continue to improve the plugin and add extra functionality."

If you would like to know more about the plugin, or have any comments or suggestions for future improvements, please contact your Faculty or School Learning Technologist.
