The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) has opened the July 2024 round of their Responsive Mode: Pushing the Frontiers of Environmental Research scheme. This is funding to pursue an ambitious, high-risk and high-reward project in environmental science. Projects be up to the value of £950,000.

Institutional quotas are in place for this scheme, with the University of Bath restricted to one submission per round to each of the July 2024 and January 2025 rounds. As a result, we have an internal demand management and quality review process in place to meet NERC’s requirements.

Please email resdev@bath.ac.uk at the earliest opportunity, or by 17 April at the latest, to be considered for the Bath-led submission to the July 2024 round of this scheme and to obtain a copy of the pitching template slide deck and invite to the panel session.
