The University is saddened to announce the death of Ivor Lidgey, formerly of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
Ivor started at the Bristol College of Science and Technology on 1 September 1962 and transferred with the University to Bath, where he was a Lecturer through to his early retirement on 29 February 1996. He immediately transferred to a half-time Teaching Fellowship, which he held until 31 August 2000. Ivor was in charge of his department’s teaching labs for much of his time at Bath, taking a keen interest in the running of the labs and in equipment procurement. He was well known for control systems and power electronics.
