Our ‘Cryogenic Engineering for Sustainable Flight’ course was delivered for the first time in January. Delegates learnt about a range of topics from the fundamental behaviour of fluids and materials at cryogenic temperatures, to practical system design. Expert lecturers from GKN Aerospace and the University Bath were joined by cryogenic specialists from CERN and the ALMA Observatory as guest speakers. In addition lecture sessions, we had three hands-on practical labs and two demonstration lab sessions, as well as a hands-on computer modelling exercise.
We were pleased that the course was popular and very well-received by delegates. We are delivering the course again in June.
