The People of Colour (PoC) Network aims to give staff a space to connect, socialise and discuss areas of importance around racial equality and representation at the University. Among other crucial topics, the Network's long-term goals are to:

  • encourage open and honest conversation
  • give staff a chance to express their ideas
  • raise issues around diversity at the University
  • engage speakers to empower staff
  • organise socials, events and raise awareness

The Network hosted its first introductory meeting on Wednesday 19th October from 10-11am, at WH 3.11. The meeting is open to all staff members of colour who wish to introduce themselves, with the opportunity to discuss the nomination of Committee members and potential re-naming of the Network. Attendees will have the option of attending in-person or virtually.

To find out more and stay up-to-date with the PoC Network as it develops, members are invited to join the Network's Microsoft Teams group and mailing list. If you have any questions or wish to express an interest in being added to either of these, please reach out to Culture and Inclusion team, via the contact information listed on this page.
