Graduates from the University of Bath continue to enjoy some of the strongest employment prospects in the UK, according to the latest data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS).
For the cohort graduating in 2021/22 the results show that 92% of Bath’s full-time UK-domiciled first-degree graduates working in the UK were in high-skilled employment 15 months after completing their courses. This compares to an average of only 73% for similar graduates across all UK Higher Education providers and places Bath fourth nationally among UUK member institutions*.
Helen Stringer, Director of Employability & Student Success, said: “At the University of Bath, we take immense pride in our outstanding graduate employment outcomes, which reflect the high calibre of our students and dedication of our academic and professional services staff. With a wealth of employability opportunities, and a robust placement programme, we provide an exceptional student experience, preparing our students for future success.”
The annual GOS is a nationwide survey of all graduates from higher education courses at universities and colleges in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This year, for the cohort graduating in 2021/22 responses were received from 351,220 graduates from a target population of 870,295, a completion rate of 40%.
The figures for those in ‘high skilled employment’, includes UK-domiciled, full-time, first degree graduates who are working in the UK, within one of the following activities:
