If you're a Postgraduate Taught (PGT) student preparing to step into the workplace, developing confidence in professional English can make a real difference. Whether you're navigating meetings, giving presentations, or writing emails, being able to communicate clearly and appropriately is key.
To support you in this transition, the Skills Centre has launched Professional English for Employment; a new in-person course designed to help you build the language skills needed for professional success. Through seven interactive workshops, you’ll take part in discussions, roleplays, and workplace scenarios that reflect real-life communication challenges.
Dates and times
The course runs weekly during Semester 1, with sessions scheduled from 16.15 to 17.05 on the following dates:

- 23 October
- 13 November
- 20 November
- 4 December
- 11 December
