Ann-Marie Hartland, Loretta Gibson and Sue Watts, were presented with Fellowship/Accredited membership status of the Association of University Administrators (AUA) at the Annual Lecture hosted by Nicola Dandridge (CEO for the Office for Students).

As AUA Advocates and Directors of Administration, Ann-Marie and Loretta have worked tirelessly over the last few years to support continuing professional development within their own teams but also across the institution, culminating in a drive to increase Accredited Member and Fellowship status.

This resulted in 6 successful applications in the first cohort (Rachel Acres, Suzanne Jacobs, Elise Merker, Jenny Medland-Kelly, Ann-Marie and Loretta) and 9 applications in the second (outcomes still pending) which have drawn praise from the reviewers for their quality and furthermore, contributed to the AUA Advocate team being awarded the AUA Network Team Award earlier in the year.

On receiving their Fellowship, Ann-Marie and Loretta said: "In our roles, we work extremely hard to support and develop our members and are, therefore, very proud to have received recognition for our commitment to both our own professional development and that of others.

"The AUA enjoys a very proactive and engaged presence at the University of Bath, which is thanks to the team of AUA Advocates and Members who are passionate about embedding AUA principles in their everyday working practices, developing themselves and their careers, sharing best practice and encouraging others to do the same."
