Research and Innovation Services (RIS) helps researchers to develop proposals, run projects and disseminate findings.

The University’s research portfolio, currently valued at over £153 million, is growing in terms of the number, complexity and variety of applications. The portfolio comprises over 500 live projects, with over 800 applications submitted each year.

As a result, RIS supports much of the academic community and at all stages of their research; from finding research funding to achieving research impact.

The support RIS offers to academics in Knowledge Exchange activities includes collaborative research with external organisations, consultancy, technology commercialisation, Intellectual Property and local regeneration projects.

We would very much like your feedback and suggestions for support on any of our service areas you have experienced, enabling us to look at possible improvements or additional services that might be necessary.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Caroline Quest, Director of Research and Innovation Services (RIS)
