Dear colleagues,
I would like to thank everyone involved in the successful Open Day on Saturday for their hard work, commitment and support of the University.
The day was very busy with an estimated 12,912 visitors and it was wonderful to experience once again the buzz this event brings to campus. The atmosphere was lively and engaging and we were lucky to enjoy a relatively bright Autumn day.
Whatever your role, from preparing campus in the early hours, giving or supporting a talk, leading a tour, staffing a stand in the Information Fair, helping visitors at transport hubs or welcoming them onto campus, I would like to thank you for all you have done. Your help and support are much appreciated and exemplify the fantastic community we have at Bath.
A great deal of work is involved in planning and ensuring these events run smoothly, and I appreciate we had to change a few things this time, with the event being held in term time to enable us to welcome school groups and those making their choices later in the year. I would particularly like to thank colleagues in our academic departments, Campus Services, Campus Infrastructure, Facilities Services, ResLife, Security, Hospitality, Retail, the Events Team and our many student ambassadors - it really is a team effort.
If you have any feedback about the Open Days, we would be really pleased to hear from you and would ask you to email Lucy Perry.
With thanks and best wishes,
Professor Julian Chaudhuri
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education)
