Since the Covid-19 pandemic, we have run an internal staff ‘Work & Wellbeing’ survey three times during the academic year, exploring these topics as well as real time organisational issues. These surveys have provided valuable data to inform senior leadership decisions, as well as longitudinal data to track trends and benchmark data to assess against national standards. 

We are now at a time of great change in Higher Education, and we have a real opportunity to shape Bath as something different and lead the way during those changes. We believe that having a distinctive and positive employee experience is key to riding this wave and engaging everyone in shaping the future. We have a strong sense of community and want to build on that. That is why we are investing in and launching a new type of survey, designed to provide deeper insights into employee experience, wellbeing, and engagement and provide us with local and University-level action plans to make real and meaningful improvements.

We have commissioned employee engagement specialists, People Insight, to manage and run the survey for us and they will use their expertise to advise us on what to do as a result. People Insight has extensive experience in running employee surveys with other organisations within the sector, across the UK and internationally, so we will be able to benchmark our results against others.

The survey is open between Tuesday 4th and Tuesday 25th November and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Look out for the email from survey-invite@peopleinsight.co.uk inviting you to take part. Please take the time to provide feedback about your experience.

Your survey responses are confidential and handled securely by People Insight, in line with GDPR and their Privacy Policy. While basic details are used to issue invitations and monitor responses, all answers remain confidential and are never shared directly with the University.

Everyone who fills out the survey will have the chance to win a £50 gift card. People Insight will randomly select one winner per job family on the University’s behalf.
