TIER's shared e-scooters and e-bikes are now available across Bath, and will launch in Bristol in the next few weeks, replacing the previous Voi scheme. E-cargo bikes will also be added later in the year, along with long-term rental e-scooters in the autumn.

The TIER E-bike 3 and TIER 6 e-scooter both come with a phone holder with built-in wireless charging, GPS tracking, and an integrated lock.

You'll be able to rent the e-bikes and e-scooters through the TIER app, available on iOS and Android. You can only end your ride by leaving your bike or scooter in a TIER parking bay, which are shown on the map in the app, and lock it.

On your first ride you'll get one free unlock and 15 minutes of free riding time. Normal Pay-as-you-Go pricing will be 99p to unlock the bike and then 16p per minute.

And for Pay-as-you-Go rides, University students and staff are eligible for a 35% discount through the UK Access Scheme. To apply, go to the Help & Safety section of the app, tap on 'Help center' and select 'UK Access Scheme' from the message options. The app will then send you details of the documents needed to prove your student or staff status and apply the discount for 12 months.

TIER is also launching a range of passes including a £4 daily Commute Pass offering 30 minutes riding time, as well as a range of daily and monthly passes.

Pass name Minutes included Cost per minute Unlock cost Monthly cost
Pay per ride On-demand £0.16 £0.99 On-demand
