For the second year running, the University of Bath is in the top ten for this year’s Complete University Guide 2022. It it ranked tenth in the national rankings and is also the number one university in the South West for the fifth year running.

Bath has been ranked in the top ten for 16 subjects, being named first in the country for Marketing, second for Architecture and third for Sociology, Sport Science and Manufacturing & Production Engineering.

Bath was listed in the top 10 for the following subjects by the Complete University Guide:

  • Psychology (4th)
  • Social Policy (4th)

  • Politics (7th)
  • Chemical Engineering (9th)
  • Social Work (9th)
  • Economics (10th)

Bath was also ranked sixth for Graduate Prospects, using a newly created metric that combines graduate outcomes (ranked 6th) with a measure of whether graduates are ‘on track’ with their career plans (ranked 3rd).

The Complete University Guide is based on 10 measures: Entry Standards, Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Research Intensity, Graduate Prospects - outcomes, Graduate Prospects - on track, Student-Staff Ratio, Spending on Academic Services, Spending on Student Facilities and Completion. It includes 130 institutions.

Bath was also named the world’s 166th best university in the QS World University Rankings 2022, moving up seven places from its joint-173rd position last year.

Bath is rated highly in several rankings and reputational measures, including 6th in The Guardian University Guide, and 9th in The Times & The Sunday Times Good University Guide.
