We are thrilled to announce that six University of Bath students have been selected for the prestigious Mitacs Globalink Research Internship this year. This highly competitive program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to work on innovative research projects at top universities across Canada, gaining invaluable experience in their field of study.

The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a unique initiative that connects talented students from 19 different countries, with world-class researchers and institutions in Canada. Over the course of twelve-weeks this summer, students will have the opportunity to conduct research in diverse areas.

Meet Our Selected Students:

  • Aaron Scott, is currently studying Structural and Architectural Engineering, and will focus on Wood engineering and building technology research, at the University of Northern British Columbia

  • Lena Ambicka, who is currently studying Mathematics and Physics, will work on Photogrammetry of water Cherenkov detectors at the University of Winnipeg

  • Anjali Santhakumar, a student of Aerospace Engineering, will research 3D Printed Deployable antennas for CubeSat Applications at the University of New Brunswick

  • Toby Gilday, also studying Aerospace Engineering, will research Real-Time Repositioning of Floating Wind Turbines Using a Novel Hybrid Model for Position and Power Regulation at École de Technologie Supérieure

  • Johnny Ivall, is studying Chemistry, and will focus on Expanding the Catalytic Utility of SPINDOLE Frameworks for Asymmetric Synthesis at the University of British Columbia

  • Devan Creber, an Engineering student, will work on Numerical studies for hydrogen propulsion systems at the University of Calgary

The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship not only provides students with the opportunity to advance their academic careers but also offers a platform for cultural exchange and collaboration. Students will gain new perspectives and improve their research skills in a global context.
