After seven successful in-person editions in Switzerland (and two online editions), iWorkinSport is taking a major next step in its journey: expanding beyond Lausanne and bringing together the international sports industry in a new world-class setting.
The iWorkinSport Convention & Job Fair is the first truly international career fair dedicated exclusively to the sports industry - designed to deliver a unique combination of recruitment and job interviews with top sports employers, employer branding opportunities in front of a global talent pool and knowledge exchange and networking with the industry’s key players.
Over the years, the event has welcomed more than 60 international sports organisations, over 20 prestigious academic institutions, and 1,000 attendees, generating a multitude of hires across the industry.
iWorkinSport’s founder and CEO, Joao Frigerio, commented on the choice of the University of Bath to host the company’s flagship event in 2026 saying:
“Choosing a new host venue for this milestone edition was always going to require a partner that matches the ambition, credibility, and international standing of the iWorkinSport community. That is why we are proud to collaborate with the University of Bath - a globally recognised institution at the intersection of sport, education, leadership, and innovation", he said.
Frigerio continued: "Bath is also the perfect location to bring together the European sports ecosystem in an accessible and inspiring environment - combining international connectivity, a high-quality campus experience, and the atmosphere of one of the UK’s most iconic cities.”
Professor Polly McGuigan, University of Bath’s Head of Department for Health, said: “As a department, we are deeply committed to advancing sport through world-leading research, education, and close engagement with industry. Hosting this milestone event with iWorkinSport allows us to connect our students, staff, and partners with the European sports ecosystem, translating academic excellence into real-world impact. As part of the University of Bath we are proud to contribute our expertise in sport and exercise science and management to this international collaboration”.
Professor Deborah Wilson, Dean for Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Bath, added: “We are delighted to welcome this landmark event to the University of Bath. Partnering with iWorkinSport reflects our shared commitment to shaping the future of the sports industry through education, innovation, and leadership. Recently named Sports University of the Year 2026, we are proud to host the European sports community on our campus and to connect ideas, talent, and global perspectives in an environment designed to inspire excellence.”
The event will take place from 16-17 October 2026.
