The Vice-Chancellor presented his report on key issues facing the University.
Curriculum Transformation: Assessment regulations
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching) presented proposed new assessment regulations for UG and PGT courses to use after courses had been transformed. Senate approved the changes, and delegated minor changes to ULTQC. Prof Lambert also informed Senate that he would be seeking an update from Deans and Heads of Department in order to check that deadlines for Phase 2/3 would be met and to invite any comments or concerns.
Undergraduate and postgraduate admissions
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost reported on student registration figures for this autumn and thanked everyone involved in a very successful process.
Student Survey
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching) presented the 2019 results of the National Student Survey.
Committee memberships
Senate agreed to add the Vice-President (Student Experience), Dr Cassie Wilson, as a member of Senate and ULTQC.
Fitness to Practise
Senate approved minor amendments to the Fitness to Practise Policy.
