To be eligible for the award, you must:
- hold an offer from the University of Bath for a full-time, campus-based postgraduate taught master's course starting in 2026*
- be permanently domiciled in one of the countries listed below and be a graduate or studying your degree at a university in the same country. You must have studied the whole of your degree in the country:

- Malaysia
- Mexico
- Nepal
- Nigeria
- Pakistan
- Philippines
- Saudi Arabia
- Spain
- Sri Lanka
- Turkey
- United Arab Emirates
- United States of America
- Vietnam
- have overseas fee status
- have a final degree or current grade/GPA equivalent to a UK high 2:2 degree
- have not previously studied at the University of Bath
No additional scholarship application is required. If you meet the eligibility and award criteria, the scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee discount.
Recipients of the Bath Merit Scholarship can apply for other University of Bath scholarships available for 2026/27 entry but if they are awarded a Bath Global Excellence Scholarship, GREAT Scholarship or other type of University funding, they will no longer be eligible to receive the Bath Merit Scholarship.
