Get involved in Freshers' Week

Freshers’ Week is from Wednesday 23 September - Sunday 27 September. Meet people, join student groups and discover endless opportunities for your time at Bath.

What happens during Freshers' Week

Freshers’ Week is a week of events, activities and taster sessions to help you meet people, make friends and find out about the clubs, societies and everything else our students' union, The SU, has to offer.

Freshers’ Week will be a mix of in-person and virtual events, activities and taster sessions to help you meet people, make friends and find out about everything the Students’ Union, The SU, has to offer.

You can get involved in Freshers’ Week whether you’re an undergraduate or postgraduate student.

Events include:

  • a virtual Freshers’ Fair spread over two days, with stalls run by student groups including sports clubs and societies as well as local and national companies
  • a series of events including comedy nights, quizzes, tours of Bath and interhall competitions
  • virtual demonstrations and where possible in-person taster sessions from student groups

This year things are a little different and the programme of events will be continually updated in line with government restrictions.

Watch out for any events or wristbands that are being promoted elsewhere, these won’t get you into any official Freshers’ Week events and are unlikely to take place.
