Join us at an offer holder event

After you receive an offer to study our undergraduate Natural Sciences course, you can attend an offer holder event.

Our offer holder events are designed to give you the opportunity to experience what life is like as a student at Bath.

As an offer holder for our Natural Sciences course, you can choose from:

  • an on-campus Offer Holder Day, which will take place on our University of Bath campus
  • an on-campus Department Visit Day, which is more focused on the Department you'll study within, rather than the University
  • a virtual Offer Holder Day, which you’ll be able to attend online from anywhere in the world

You don’t have to accept your offer to attend one of these days.

2026 dates

You’ll be able to choose one of five offer holder event dates in 2026:

  • Wednesday 21 January (on-campus Department Visit Day)
  • Saturday 21 February (on-campus Offer Holder Day)
  • Saturday 14 March (Virtual Offer Holder Day)
  • Friday 10 April (on-campus Offer Holder Day)
  • Saturday 25 April (on-campus Offer Holder Day)

Our on-campus and virtual offer holder days include University and department-level sessions, while the Department Visit Day is more focused on life within Natural Sciences. We advise that you book early to make sure you get a place.

If you choose an on-campus day, you'll receive information about travel, campus accessibility, and where to go when you get here. For Virtual Offer Holder Days, we’ll give you details and guidance for attending online using Microsoft Teams.

On-campus offer holder days

At an on-campus Offer Holder Day, you can experience our campus, speak to staff and students, and see the places that you’ll live and study in during your time with us.

The day will consist of University and Department-level sessions.

During University-level sessions, you will:

  • join a campus tour
  • view our accommodation 1
  • hear about our student support
  • visit the Information Fair to learn more about things like careers and employability opportunities, admissions, and campus facilities

During department-level sessions, you’ll:

  • speak to natural sciences students and teaching staff
  • experience a tutorial-style group session with staff
  • find out more about course-specific opportunities, like professional placements
  • view the study spaces you’ll be able to use when you arrive at Bath

Department Visit Day

We also offer a Department Visit Day, during which you can learn all about Natural Sciences and find out more about your chosen course.

At a Department Visit Day, you'll be able to:

  • explore the department's learning spaces
  • talk to current students and teaching staff
  • take part in taster sessions and ask any questions you may have
  • find out more about course-specific opportunities like professional placements, and working and studying abroad.

You'll be able to walk around campus and explore some of the University's facilities. As it takes place on a weekday during term time, acccommodation will not be available to view, but you'll get a feel for the vibrancy of our campus and student community.

A Department Visit Day is a great chance to visit the City of Bath itself. Take in Bath's historic architecture, explore the city's parks, museums, and cafés, and picture yourself living in Bath as a student.

Virtual Offer Holder Day

A Virtual Offer Holder Day gives you the chance to experience Bath, no matter where you are in the world.

It is very similar to on-campus offer holder days. You’ll receive the same University and department-level information to help you get a better idea of what life as a student at Bath is like, all delivered online via Microsoft Teams.

A Virtual Offer Holder Day includes:

  • an introductory talk, which includes information about our campus and facilities
  • a student Q&A panel
  • talks from teaching staff about your course
  • experience a tutorial-style group session with staff
