Our 2026 Winter (January) and Summer (July) Schools are now available for booking. You can find the link to our booking system at the bottom of this page.
Our Electrochemistry Summer and Winter Schools will introduce you to the theory of, and experimental techniques in, electrochemistry. We run the courses in collaboration with the University of Bristol as a mixture of lectures and intensive small group lab teaching from electrochemistry experts. Our course is aimed at PhD students, academic researchers and industry researchers wishing to gain foundational knowledge in the subject, however all are welcome.
We start by going over the basic theory and techniques of electrochemistry and then move onto looking at a wide range of different electrochemical measurements and how to interpret them.
Our Winterschool covers general electrochemistry and introduces a wide range of techniques. In contrast our Summer School specialises in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.

The fee for our four day Summer School is currently £1325.
The fee for our five day Winter School is currently £1425.

*Please note that accommodation is not included in the course fee and that we are unable to arrange payment by invoice. Bookings can be made using a credit card or PayPal via the online store.
Our Winter School is run in partnership with Metrohm and our Summer School is run in partnership with BioLogic.
Our Winter and Summer Schools take place in our state-of- the-art laboratories.
Our experienced team will work with you in small groups using tailored course materials. You will learn to use the instruments through practical work.
