The scheme provides students with the opportunity to lead a change project related to one or more of the strategic priorities for the institution. Participation offers invaluable experiences for personal and professional development.
Case Study
In the last three years, the scheme has supported student leaders to plan and deliver a wide range of exciting projects. From workshops to conferences, students have been creative, innovative, and agile in the ways in which they have achieved their project aims!
Project leaders have used Lego kits and Rubik’s cubes to help their peers to reflect on their educational experiences, develop skills and connect with each other. The AAPS CDT student committee organised a two-day conference to celebrate and share their doctoral students’ mobility and transport research through poster presentations and lightning talks.
A popular theme has been building greater peer networks and communities. With Student Change Projects’ funding, the Bath Black Engineering and Science Society (BBESS) and the Trainee Led Inclusivity Group (TLIG) from the Doctorate of Clinical Psychology programme, have become established and continue to put Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion at the centre of their activities.
