Students and/or staff are invited to share their experiences of issues that student feedback has consistently raised, with the aim of developing collaborative solutions. This can be focused on a range of topics on both the student and staff experience. Examples include learning & teaching, community & wellbeing, skills & employability although a broad range of topics could be the focus.
Following a ‘World Café’ format, students and staff are encouraged to explore pre-existing student data and feedback on various themes. Discussions are supported by facilitators to develop understanding of the varied perspectives in the room.
Subsequently, staff and students regroup around the theme in which they have the most interest and project groups are formed to begin the development of solutions. Where possible, further support and funding should be signposted or provided to support development of projects and solutions – eg Student Change projects.
