Comprising documentary evidence and source materials in English, French and German, the collection relates primarily to research conducted in preparation for Brussels Bureaucrats?: The Administration of the European Union jointly authored by Professor Anne Stevens and Dr Handley Stevens and published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2000. It provides a representative ‘snapshot’ of the internal workings of the European Union during the 1980s and 1990s alongside useful insight into the approach and methods of academics engaged in European Studies.

The collection was donated to the University of Bath by Professor Anne Stevens and Dr Handley Stevens in 2019.
