Email to EU students about tuition fees after the EU Referendum

All EU students were sent this email from the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching) on 8 July 2016.

Factsheet

Further to my message earlier this week, I am writing to confirm, in case of any doubt caused by the result of the European Union (EU) referendum, that as a current EU student within our academic community, the University of Bath guarantees your current Home (EU) fee status will remain the same for the duration of your course.

This means you will be eligible for the same fees as Home (UK) students for the whole of your degree programme. The Students’ Loan Company (SLC) have also confirmed that they will guarantee access to student loans for eligible students throughout their course. The SLC’s statement on loans for EU students can be found here.

I would like to, once again, reaffirm our commitment to supporting all our students and to the great value we place on our international community, outlook and engagement as a fundamental aspect of our university.

Kind regards,
Professor Peter Lambert
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching)
