The Public Interest Disclosure (also known as Whistleblowing) Procedure (last revised in July 2021) is designed to deal with concerns raised in relation to specific issues which are in the public interest.
It was introduced in response to the Public Disclosure Act 1998 which provides protection to employees against being dismissed or penalised as a result of disclosing certain serious concerns.
The Policy reiterates the University's commitment to taking seriously concerns related to potential wrongdoing and to protecting those making such disclosures.
