The Zeiss Z.1 LightSheet microscope (BBSRC, BB/S019820/1, Prof. R. Kelsh) is a fully motorised, multi-modal lightsheet system. The system offers single-photon excitation, simultaneous acquisition in 2 channels, full environmental control, large chambers for imaging thick samples up to 1 cm, sample chambers and optics for live or cleared samples, IR LED camera for brightfield imaging. The microscope is equipped with 6 excitation laser lines (405, 445, 488, 514, 561, 638) and offers single or dual side illumination with online dual side fusion and pivot scan. Applications include, but are not limited to, multi-colour 2D imaging, multi-colour 3D imaging, 4D imaging (x, y, z, and time), live cell imaging, steady state Förster/fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET), co-localisation studies, tracking of cell lineages, developmental biology.
