Criminology is the study of crime and criminality, as well as society’s response to these.

Studying this subject will give you a deep insight into the theories of criminal activity, justice and punishment. By drawing on multiple perspectives and disciplines, you’ll learn about:

  • challenges faced by law enforcement, courts and prisons
  • socioeconomic and sociopsychological factors that contribute to criminal activity
