Following the success of our Innovation Days in 2023 and 2024, the South West Pharmacy Research Network will be holding our third annual Innovation Day in 2025. We are arranging an exciting programme to:
- enable delegates from different organisations to get to know each other and how they might collaborate on future projects
- inspire delegates to get more involved in research
- increase delegates’ research knowledge and skills
Theme
This year, we are particularly focusing on how to get involved in the delivery of multi-centre pharmacy research studies across all sectors - community pharmacy, general practice pharmacy and hospital pharmacy. We will have a series of talks about studies that have been delivered in each of these sectors, where we will hear about the overall study from a representative of its central team and a pharmacy professional will talk about the experience of delivering it in their local setting.
Please read the information below to find out more and then register via the link at the bottom of this page.

Posters and prizes
We encourage everyone attending the event to share a poster. Posters can be on anything related to research, audit, service evaluation or quality improvement - even an idea for a future project - there are no specific requirements. You can also submit a poster you have already presented elsewhere. Please do consider submitting a poster, whether you have final results to share, early results for a project that's underway, an idea for a new project or a request for collaborators. Not only will this enhance your CV, it will also improve the networking and interactivity of the day.
Abstract submission
To present a poster, please submit an abstract using this submission form by Sunday 5th October 2025, so that delegates can read them in advance (we will share them on our website).
Abstract selection
There will be no peer review process before your abstract is accepted, but we only have space to display 15 posters - if more abstracts are submitted, we may have to select a range of poster to represent the diversity of activity taking place across the network. We will be in touch shortly after 5th October to confirm which abstracts have been accepted.
Presenting your poster
On the day, we will display printed posters (no larger than A1 portrait or landscape format - unless already printed up to A0) on boards. Please bring your printed poster to the event and display it at the start of the day. We will also ask all poster presenters to do a 3 minute talk in front of their poster in a session starting 13:15. Other delegates will be able to listen to these talks if they wish, or continue networking.
Prizes
There will also be four poster prizes, which will be awarded at the end of the day:
- best poster with a lead author from a healthcare organisation
- best poster with a lead author from a university or college
- most visually attractive poster
- delegates' choice
