Library Support for Widening Participation

A summary of the services offered by the library working toward the goals of widening participation in higher education at the University of Bath.

What services are available?

The Widening Participation Liaison at the University Library is currently Tom Woodman.  You can contact Tom for any information you need, general queries or to arrange training.

A typical library visit for a Widening Participation group will consist of an introduction to the library and how to find books and journals, followed by a short tour of the Library building.  Students can then spend time using our dedicated catalogue terminals to find information to support their work.

We also offer Independent Learning and Library Skills support through group visits. Students undertaking A-level projects, Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) or International Baccalaureate (IB) can supplement their research through access to our printed resources.  For further details about school visits please visit the school and college visits webpages.
