Make a nomination for the Staff Recognition Awards
The awards recognise members of the University's professional services or support staff who have demonstrated excellence in their work.
You can nominate members of the University's professional services or support staff for awards in the following four categories:
- Enhancing the Student Experience
- Environment and Sustainability Ambassador New
- Manager / Leader of the Year New
- Supporting Colleagues
This year we have included two new awards. Firstly we are keen to acknowledge anyone who is promoting environmental best practice and green initiatives in the workplace. Secondly we would like to recognise any manager or leader who you consider to go above and beyond in terms of their work and managing their staff.
Making a nomination
You can make a nomination if you are a student or member of staff, either individually or as a group.
Your nomination should include examples of how your nominated individual, or team, has shown excellence in their work and contributed to the broader life of the University.
Who you can nominate
You can nominate:
- any current team or member of staff from a professional or support service
- yourself or your own team
You can't nominate academic staff for an award.
When you can make nominations
Nominations for the 2020 awards are now closed.
How to make a nomination
The easiest way to nominate is online.
If you prefer, you can download and print out a nomination form.
How the winners are selected and notified
The selection committee, made up of people from across the University, will meet in June 2020 to review all the nominations and select winners in each category.
After the committee has made their decisions, award winners will get a letter to tell them they have won. We will then publish the names of all nominees and winners online.
When the awards are presented
Awards will be presented by the Vice-Chancellor at the annual Staff Recognition Evening which will be held in Autumn.
