Most of our students use Studentpad when looking for private sector housing.

Visit the Studentpad website to register as a landlord with the University of Bath and place adverts for your property.

Your obligations as a landlord

All landlords renting to students must:

• understand your legal responsibilities
• register your property as Gas Safe and provide a copy of this to the Student Accommodation team before you can advertise your property on Studentpad
• arrange regular electrical inspections and provide a copy of your most recent inspection results to the Student Accommodation team before you can advertise your property on Studentpad
• understand your legal duties regarding fire safety
• provide an Energy Performance Certificate for properties that are rented as a whole under joint agreements
• secure your tenant’s deposit in a protection scheme

If you're a landlord of a House in Multiple Occupation

• hold a Houses in Multiple Occupation licence
