About the role

We are looking for a Programmes Administrator to join our large Taught Programmes team in the Faculty of Science.

The Faculty has over 4,000 students and brings together five departments, Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Computer Science and Mathematics, the Taught Programmes Team provide administrative support, for students and academic staff, to enable student progression throughout the academic year. We have an excellent reputation for both research and teaching, providing world-leading research and flexible courses across all of our departments.

About you

We are looking for a pro-active and self-motivated individual to join our team. You will need to have strong digital literacy, good communication skills and be able to manage working under pressure at key points in the year. Your role would involve working closely with other team members and academic staff to ensure the smooth and efficient administration and operation of our degree programmes within the Faculty. The role would be best suited to an experienced administrator familiar with a busy and varied workload working to tight deadlines at certain points in the year.

Experience in the use of University-specific software (Moodle, SAMIS/SITS and Business Objects) is desirable though not essential. Most important is an interest in our work and a willingness to become fully involved in the life of the Faculty and its departments. We are currently working a hybrid work pattern which would mean a minimum of 3 days on campus working (9am – 5pm), this is a full-time (36.5), permanent position.
