About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Bath Mental Health Research Group (MHRG) at the University of Bath.

The MHRG is funded for 5 years from 2025-2029 by the NIHR (National Institute for Health Research).

The focus of our work is applied research aimed at improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people aged 12-25.

The work of the centre is informed and guided by our lived experience advisory panels and stakeholder groups.

The current role will focus particularly on finding ways to support children and young people who have had difficult early experiences that place them at significant risk of poor mental health.

The successful applicant will join a large and vibrant research team with a clear commitment to skills training and career development for all research staff working in the MHRG.

You will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of world-leading clinicians and academics.

The Bath MHRG is partnering with the Universities of Bristol and Exeter to deliver this project and there will be ample opportunities to work with researchers at our partner institutions.

You will be offered opportunities to attend further research training, and we will support you to apply for funding yourself where this is part of your professional development plan
