            <p>We are looking for a motivated individual to join our busy Placement Team!</p><h2><strong id="isPasted">About the role</strong></h2><p>Your role will be focussed on supporting our BSc and MArch students to find work placements that are part of their course. For the next few years Architecture students complete 3 to 6 month thin-sandwich placements but we will be transitioning to 12 month thick-sandwich placements longer term. You will work closely with academic colleagues in Architecture, in particular our Professional Studies Advisor and visiting tutor team.&nbsp;</p><p>You will</p><ul><li>play a vital role in maintaining strong professional relationships with current placement providers in an industry facing role whilst also proactively sourcing new placement opportunities</li><li>act as a point of contact for students, academic staff and architecture practices, dealing with enquiries and providing guidance</li><li>liaise with architecture practices and connect them with our students for portfolio reviews, practice interviews and organise networking events</li></ul><p>Placement Officers host architecture practices on campus and build strong relationships with them. This is a rewarding role supporting high achieving students at the start of their architecture careers.&nbsp;</p><h2>About you</h2><p>A major part of the role is to provide employability support to students on a one-to-one basis and good written English skills are essential. In addition, you will be required to deliver skills workshops and talks and must be a confident, lively presenter to communicate to the student audience.&nbsp;</p><p>With excellent organisational skills, you will demonstrate a good use of initiative and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise a high workload.</p><p>Attention to detail and good administrative record keeping are essential.</p><p>We work together as a team to achieve overall results and you will need to be a good team player.</p><p>An interest in learning about and working with the architecture industry would be beneficial, however, we would not expect prior knowledge and you will be provided with in depth training from both the Head of Placements and also the Professional Studies Advisor.</p><h2>Further information</h2><p>This is a part-time role, working 22 hours per week.             <h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2><p><span style="font-size: inherit;">DDaT provides support for University of Bath software approval and procurement. The Software Licensing Officer helps ensure compliance, value for money and efficient provision/renewal of software licences for the university. They review software licence requests, ensuring they are effectively triaged, then liaising with colleagues, requestors and suppliers to ensure coherence and value for money purchasing. They input data into the Software Catalogue and ensure accurate, efficient and effective processes promoting a positive customer experience highlighting areas for improvement.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: inherit;">The incumbent must maintain software licensing knowledge materials and ensure effective information management in accordance with agreed procedures highlighting any shortfalls to the Software Licensing Manager and Director of IT Services as appropriate. They manage the licence renewal calendar to ensure prompt action before licence termination.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: inherit;">The role holder provides information and advice to ensure compliance, coherence, coordination and cost-efficient ways of securing software licenses and hardware contracts.             <div id="isPasted"><h2 id="isPasted">About the role&nbsp;</h2><p>The role of HR Advisor at the University of Bath is a varied and interesting one working with a range of stakeholders based in Faculties and Professional Services Departments. You will work closely with the matrix team and HR Business Partners in order to deliver a timely and legally compliant service as well as working with our colleagues in Reward, Workforce Development, Culture and Inclusion and Safety, Health and Wellbeing.&nbsp;</p><p>The aim of the role is to enable excellent people management practice and build the capability of individuals, teams and departments to meet the University&rsquo;s and the department&rsquo;s objectives. The role will support designated business areas, developing effective working relationships with key stakeholders, whilst working for and alongside HR Business Partners.</p><p>The HR Advisor will support the delivery of the HR Strategy and work in such a way that supports pace, innovation and customer service in HR service delivery.&nbsp;</p><h2 id="isPasted">About you&nbsp;</h2><ul><li>CIPD qualified or equivalent</li><li>Effective knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice and its practical application appropriate to a generalist advisor role</li><li>Proven experience of delivering outcome- and customer-focused HR advice and guidance</li><li>Strong communication and relationship building skills</li><li>Able to advise, support and coach managers to manage employee relations issues effectively.</li><li>Experience of actively managing HR casework &ndash; from absence and wellbeing conversations through to investigations and formal processes is essential</li></ul><h2>Further Information</h2><p>This role is offered on part‑time basis (24.5 hours per week) permanent basis.             <p id="isPasted">Join our Legal Services and be part of the Freedom of Information Team as our Support Officer!</p><h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2><p>Within the Legal Services and Freedom of Information Team, you will work alongside our experienced Freedom of Information Officer (FOI) to ensure that Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulation &nbsp;(EIR) requests are managed in a professional manner which upholds the University&rsquo;s reputation and in line with legal requirements.&nbsp;</p><p>Working with the FOI Officer, you&#39;ll act as the University&rsquo;s operational point of contact to provide support for the core functions of Freedom of Information including:</p><ul><li>logging and acknowledging requests for information,&nbsp;</li><li>notifying colleagues about requests, collecting and organising information to assist with University responses,</li><li>working with&nbsp;University colleagues to obtain and advise on information and respond to queries,</li><li>collecting information for the University&rsquo;s Publication Schedule</li></ul><p>This is a busy and varied role involving daily communication with teams across the University to obtain information required to respond to requests within the statutory timescales.             <p id="isPasted">We have an exciting opportunity for a professional with extensive expertise in information governance to lead implementation of the University&rsquo;s Information Governance Framework.</p><p>You will provide strategic leadership and accountability for the University&rsquo;s approach to data protection, records management, data quality, data management training, and related communications.</p><h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2><p>The Head of Information Governance is a key leadership role within the University, playing a critical part in taking forward the University&rsquo;s ambitions with regards to effective information governance. The role is fundamental to ensuring the University maintains compliance with its statutory and regulatory obligations with regards to data protection, records retention and data management.&nbsp;</p><p>You will engage with colleagues across key areas, including Legal, Governance &amp; Compliance, Information Security, the Library, HR, our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) department and others, fostering an integrated approach to achieve the University&rsquo;s ambitious goals.&nbsp;</p><h2><strong>About you</strong></h2><p>You will have:</p><ul type="disc"><li>proven experience of leading a data governance, data protection, records management or information governance programme.</li><li>strong appreciation and understanding of information management practices including information lifecycle management, data modelling, master data management, carrying out business audits and requirements gathering.</li><li>a clear understanding of relevant statutory frameworks applying to information governance including the UK General Data Protection Regulation, Data Protection Act 2018 and the Data Use and Access Act 2025.&nbsp;</li><li>exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at different levels with internal and external stakeholders.</li></ul><h2><strong>Further information</strong></h2><p>This is a full-time role (36.5 hours per week) for a fixed-term basis of 12 months to cover a period of parental leave. Although this is a full-time role (1.0 fte) we would consider part-time hours (minimum 0.8 fte).             <p id="isPasted">Following a promotion, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Building Controls Supervisor to join the Department of Campus Infrastructure.</p><p><strong id="isPasted">This role is eligible for the Campus Infrastructure refer a friend bonus *</strong></p><h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2><p>This role ensures the effective operation and support of the University&rsquo;s various controls systems.</p><p>This includes:</p><ul type="disc"><li>Building Management System</li><li>Lighting control systems&nbsp;</li><li>Energy monitoring systems.</li></ul><p>You will provide expert knowledge, guidance, and hands-on support in the development and reactive maintenance of the Building Management System (BMS), ensuring all planned works are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.</p><p>You will work closely with the other workshop supervisors, engineers and managers to deliver continued support of building services, to ensure minimum down time, increased efficiency and end user satisfaction.</p><h2><strong>About you</strong></h2><p>In order to be successful in this role you will need:</p><ul type="disc"><li>a recognised City &amp; Guilds or NVQ 3 apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering Maintenance (or an appropriate engineering discipline or related subject)</li><li>IET 18th Edition</li><li>demonstrable post training experience in the maintenance, repair, installation and fitting of BMS/automated controls</li><li>experience of working effectively with skilled operatives and contractors</li><li>experience of safely working on a variety of installations, appliances and equipment</li><li>practical knowledge of property related Health and Safety legislation applicable to electrical services (ie COSHH, PUWER Electricity at Work Regulations)&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Ideally you will also have a relevant qualification in BMS/automated controls related subject for Schneider Sigma, Eco Struxture and Tridium Niagra.</p><h2>Further information</h2><p id="isPasted">Hours will be worked Monday to Thursday 8.15am to 4.45pm and Friday 8.15am to 3:45pm.             <h2>About the role</h2><p id="isPasted">Are you ready to lead and coordinate the operations that keep a digital department running efficiently?</p><p>We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Digital, Data &amp; Technology (DDaT) Information Security team in a pivotal role ensuring security assurance evolves to support the strategic goals of the University.</p><p>As Information Security Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of assurance analysts and have oversight of all aspects of information risk management. You will work closely with the CISO, and Info Sec leadership colleagues to help the University achieve required compliance states for ISO27001:2 and research funder requirements. The University is ranked 8<sup>th</sup> in the Guardian University rankings and 7th in the UK by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026, where it is also named Sport University of the Year.&nbsp;</p><p>The Head of Strategic Media and Research Communications will play a pivotal part in building on our strengths as we begin to embed Bath&rsquo;s new 10-year strategy, with a particular focus on global impact.&nbsp;</p><p>We&#39;re seeking someone with expertise in building and implementing strategic media relations plans and has experience managing a busy press office and team leadership.&nbsp;</p><ul type="disc"><li>University of Bath | Claverton Down, Bath (Hybrid, at least 2 days per week on campus)</li><li>Full-time, Permanent (we are open to discussing a four-day week for the right candidate)</li></ul><p><strong><span style="font-size: 24px;">About the role</span></strong></p><p>As Head of Strategic Media and Research Communications, you will lead the University&#39;s earned media strategy, driving high-impact communications that support the University&rsquo;s strategic priorities and strengthen our reputation nationally and internationally.</p><p>You will collaborate with senior leaders, researchers, and communications colleagues to find compelling stories, cultivate meaningful external relationships, and develop coordinated campaigns that engage media, policymakers, funders, partners, and other influential audiences.</p><p>This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role working closely with the Associate Director Communications and Engagement. You&#39;ll provide expert counsel to senior collaborators, lead on complex reputational issues, and build the conditions for your team to thrive and deliver outstanding results.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 24px;">What you&rsquo;ll be doing</span></strong></p><p>Develop and deliver an ambitious media and research communications strategy that strengthens the University&#39;s profile and influence nationally and internationally.</p><ul type="disc"><li>Shape integrated communications activity by working alongside communications colleagues to identify and amplify research, expertise and institutional stories that support the University&#39;s strategic priorities.</li><li>Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing media relations team.</li><li>Oversee the University press office and media monitoring function.</li><li>Lead on sensitive and high-profile communications issues with sound judgement and professionalism.</li><li>Act as a trusted adviser to university leaders on media relations, messaging and public positioning.</li><li>Evaluate impact, champion innovation and continuously improve how we tell our stories.</li><li>Build strong partnerships with academics, professional services colleagues and senior leaders across the University.</li><li>Build relationships with media partners and communications agencies in the UK and internationally.</li><li>Manage communications agency relationships and associated budgets, ensuring value for money and measurable impact.</li></ul><p><strong><span style="font-size: 24px;">About you</span></strong></p><p>We&#39;re looking for a communications professional who is as skilled at building relationships as they are at developing strategy.</p><p>You&#39;ll bring:</p><ul id="isPasted" type="disc"><li>Proven experience in senior communications and media relations leadership roles, including responsibility for strategic planning, stakeholder management, and reputation building.&nbsp;</li><li>A strong understanding of today&#39;s global communications landscape and how earned, owned, and paid channels work together and a track record of designing and delivering successful integrated communications programmes.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience leading and developing people, creating an inclusive and supportive team culture.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience managing reputational issues and working under pressure.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience using evaluation and performance metrics to optimise communications activity and demonstrate impact.&nbsp;</li><li>Curiosity, resilience and a genuine interest in current affairs, research, and public impact.&nbsp;</li><li>Confidence advising senior stakeholders and influencing at all levels.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Experience in higher education would be welcome but is not essential.
