The Skills Centre is a professional service at the University of Bath, comprising around 50 permanent and 20 casual staff, based at the university’s beautiful Claverton Down campus. 

Working closely with the academic community and other central services, we deliver academic, mathematics, languages, digital and employability skills development opportunities to home and international students at all levels. 

Our purpose is to foster student independence by building their skills, confidence, academic capability and resourcefulness.

We enhance the student experience by providing high-quality, evidence-based, discipline-specific skills support and thereby contribute to University’s goals for access, success, progression and employability. 

We are responsive to a diverse range of student needs and place student engagement at the heart of our provision.
