Prize Fellowships

Do you share our drive and ambition in delivering world class research? We are looking to invest in talented individuals capable of extending our ambitions further. 

Prize Fellows will pursue an independent programme of research, including publishing in top quality venues and securing external research grants. The scheme begins with an initial appointment to a fixed-term Research Fellow post with the strong expectation to transition to permanent Lectureship after two years. Alumni of the scheme have become scientific leaders, progressing rapidly within the university to Senior Lecturer, Reader and Professor.

We aim to recruit six Fellows across the Faculty of Science to strengthen and develop existing research excellence. Applications are invited in priority areas listed below.

Our Prize Fellowship offer early-stage researchers the opportunity to join a cohort of like-minded rising research stars. These two-year research fellowships in our priority research areas are part of a scheme intended to fast-track fellows to a permanent appointment at Bath.

If you wish to apply to more than one research area then you will need to submit separate applications for the different areas.  To help you with this, our online recruitment system allows you to save your previous applications and re-submit them.
