Business Partnerships and Knowledge Exchange Manager Emma Riddle Business Partnerships and Knowledge Exchange Manager

Providing advice and guidance to academics on business-led research for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Role

Emma is responsible for establishing and managing partnerships between academics and companies for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Healthy Later Living Network. Her role includes:

  • facilitating relationships with business, including public sector and charity organisations
  • identifying and promoting funding opportunities, including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) and other Innovate UK schemes
  • supporting the process of securing business funding
  • overseeing business partnerships when funded

Emma supports the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Healthy Later Living Network. She welcomes your enquiry if you want to work better with business.

Career

Prior to this role, Emma worked in Placements at the University of Bath since 2017, most recently working as Partnerships Manager. This involved working with a wide variety of organisations, both in the UK and internationally, coordinating partnerships between the University and industry. The team supported circa 750+ placements a year. Emma managed the Economics Placements Team and Study Abroad programme, in addition to postgraduate industry linked projects. She was co-chair of the University Postgraduate Employability Group.

Education

Emma holds an MA with Distinction in Business and Management (Entrepreneurship) and a Biological Sciences BSc from the University of Bristol.
