Role
- I provide guidance appointments, workshops and skills training.
- I am the lead consultant for undergraduates from the School of Management.
- I have a special responsibility for international students.
Career
I studied my Bachelor’s degree as an international student in USA and China, and my Master’s as an international student in the UK. Due to my extensive experience in studying, working and volunteering overseas I have a passion for supporting international students in the UK and supporting UK and international students finding work overseas.
I joined Careers permanently in September 2017 having previously worked as a Careers Consultant in adult further education and in back-to-work government schemes in Norway. I also have extensive experience in work placements after several years at the University of Bath as the Placements Officer within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
I enjoy supporting students and graduates from A to B, whatever that means to them; exploring a new career pathway, finding work experience or igniting a curiosity where networking can lead to.
Outside of work I like wild swimming and swam through the winter for the first time in 2020/21.
Education
I am originally from Norway and have an academic background in Languages and International Politics. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance. Find me on LinkedIn.
