Role
Kirsty Shaw was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) in August 2026.
Her role has responsibility for key corporate functions, including:
- Estates
- Campus Services
- Human Resources
- Digital, Data and Technology
- Organisational Change
- Sports Development and Recreation
- Sustainability and Space
- Library
- Research Support Services
The COO is part of the University’s Executive Board.
Career
Prior to her role at Bath, Kirsty has held senior leadership roles in the public and Civil Service, across a variety of sectors including Health, Housing, Agriculture, Food and the Environment. She has extensive experience of delivering complex operations on a national scale as well as designing and leading organisational wide strategic change including the design and implementation of organisational wide target operating models with programmes of change across people, systems and processes.
Education
Kirsty has a BSC, PgDIp and MBA.
