Dr Susie Douglas Co-Director (non academic) SAMBa and University CDT lead
Susie oversees the strategic direction and operation of the SAMBa CDT. She works across University CDTs to add value to the research and training portfolio.
Role
Susie obtained a PhD in organometallic chemistry from the University of Bath and following that worked at EPSRC within the Infrastructure team. She returned to University of Bath, working in the Research Office, in 2012 and moved to the Department of Mathematical Sciences and SAMBa in 2014.
In recent years, she has been developing international research and training initiatives, in particular within Mongolia, Mexico, Chile, and Paraguay. She works across the portfolio of SAMBa, liaising with multiple industry partners, and other stakeholders, and overseeing the operational aspects of the CDT.
