Lenka leads on the CLT's professional development and recognition support for teaching staff

Role

Lenka leads the development of the CLT's professional development and recognition opportunities for teaching staff as part of the Curriculum and Academic Development team. A key part of her role is leading the Advance HE-accredited 'Pathways to Fellowship' scheme which supports probationary and experienced staff to achieve Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Lenka also supports staff on a one-to-one basis to enhance their teaching and learning practice.

Career

Lenka’s academic background is in sociology of work and employment. After completing her PhD at the University of Bath examining attitudes to work in post-communist transition, she was a Lecturer in Sociology in the Department of Social and Policy Sciences. Prior to that, she taught social sciences at a number of universities in the UK and abroad.

Lenka joined the Centre for Learning & Teaching at Bath in June 2017. She is also a member of the International Centre for Higher Education Management, and has supervised students on the DBA course.

Lenka is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and Fellow of the Staff and Educational Development Association (FSEDA).
