Lydia Lee Director of Advancement

Lydia Lee is responsible for leading the strategic vision for philanthropy and alumni engagement.

Role

Lydia leads the University's Advancement function. With her team and in collaboration with colleagues across the University, Lydia is responsible for the engagement of the University’s global network of 150,000 Alumni and carrying forward the University’s philanthropic agenda.

Career

Joining the University in 2025, Lydia’s experience spans higher education, cultural and heritage sectors in the UK and globally. Most recently, she was Fundraising Director at the National Trust, leading a major step change in fundraised income generation. Prior appointments include Director of Development at the Science Museum Group, and a global remit at London Business School.

In a non-executive capacity, Lydia has held Trustee and Advisory roles with War Child UK, London International Festival of Theatre (LIFT) and is currently a Board Director with the Holburne Museum.

Education

Lydia studied Modern History at UCL, completed a range of Executive leadership programmes at London Business School and has a long standing personal interest in music.
