Career
With a PhD in Language and Translation Research, School of Politics and Communication Studies, from the University of East Anglia, Olena has previously lived and studied in the US, Ukraine and the UK.
She has worked in various roles in the HE context, including teaching and administrative, working with students and staff from across a wide array of cultural backgrounds.
As an Employability Officer at the Faculty of Engineering and Design, Olena supports students within the faculty in all stages of recruitment, mentoring and coaching on workplace and employability skills and facilitating students in securing highly competitive graduate roles.
Her approach to coaching is built around empathy and a strong belief in coachee's ability to shift perspective, work towards development while discovering new ways of thinking and approaching growth through incremental change.
Outside of the University, Olena is a member of a Bath-based creative writing group and is interested in political discourse and historical fiction as well as UK heritage and conservation.
