Clare Marsh Doctoral Programmes Administrator
Menopause Champion
Role
I’ve worked at the University for almost eight years. I am a Doctoral Programmes Administrator – supporting PhD students in the Faculty of Engineering.
Why I became a Menopause Champion
As I head towards the perimenopause “era” I realise that the subject of Menopause feels like a taboo subject not just in the workplace but in the wider world. Life events such as pregnancy seem to be very positively talked about in the workplace, with lots of information readily available to those it affects. I am so happy that I have been able to enhance my own knowledge which I hope will open up conversations (where appropriate) and get people talking. I look forward to being able to offer a kind ear and empathy whilst being able to signpost people to helpful and factual information.
