Career

Hello there! I am Dorothy, a Year 2 Management student. For my study, I am interested in learning different Machine Learning / Statistical Models to analyse data and optimise business operations. For hobbies, I love reading (novels and sci-fi) and video gaming (visual novel and RPG). Recently, I have been travelling a lot. I visited 7 countries this year (2025) already!

A fun fact about me is that I have worked in three different countries across a wide variety of roles, ranging from a fish butcher, a jewellery promoter, a supervisor in an exam publisher, a summer intern in a gas company, a search assistant in drone development, to a physiotherapy clinic assistant and work shadowing in a financial services firm, so on... These diverse experiences have given me resilience, adaptability, and a deep understanding of the challenges students face when applying for jobs and internships. Having personally experienced the stress of crafting CVs and personal statements, I am motivated to join the Career Centre to support my peers and help them feel more confident in showcasing their strengths.
